 About Shorebreak Security Shorebreak Security, LLC, a veteran-owned company, was founded in March 2010 with the purpose of providing exceptionally high quality, high value Information Security consulting services to government and commercial clients alike. The field of Information Security is broad, and while many companies may claim to be able to do it all, we will never make that claim. We specialize in certain areas of Information Security, and when we say specialize, we mean it! We won't take on tasks that we don't think we can handle for short-term profit, and we most definitely will not fake our way through a task. Shorebreak Security, LLC is not out to be the biggest Information Security consulting company - we just want to be the best! Leadership Shorebreak Security, LLC was founded by Mark Wolfgang, noted Information Security guru and published author of two popular books on Penetration Testing. Before starting the company, Mark co-founded SimIS, Inc, an IT services company, where he grew and developed the Information Security business line from startup to a successful practice with numerous Federal government clients. Mark has over 18 years of experience in a wide range of positions to include training, management, system and network administration, and information security. He has spent the last 10 years focusing on Information Security, primarily in the role of penetration tester. Prior to founding SimIS, Mark established himself as a noted expert within the U.S. Department of Energy Information Security community, where he specialized in conducting network security audits on some of the nation's most sensitive and critical networks. Mr. Wolfgang is a contributing author to two recently published Information Security books, has been published on industry-leading websites, has presented at security conferences, and has brief high level government officials on a number of occasions. Prior to entering the Information Security consulting arena, Mark was an instructor at Red Hat, teaching a wide range of topics from system/network administration to host and network security. Mark also taught a number of topics for several years in the U.S. Navy. He is a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration (MBA).
